Diagnosis
Diagnosis means that you base on facts, and not conjectures while implementing Lean.  Do not make an error typical for many managers who think that the place of real improvement can be specified roughly. It is impossible. You stop being objective when working in this company and staying here for many hours a day.

During our training course, we very often hand out a blank sheet to a few managers. We ask them to write down 5 most critical problems of their companies. And what? You will not believe. It never happens that they write the same. What does it mean? Each of them has different point of view. Each of them has another improvement plan as different things are crucial for them. Can you imagine a boat steered by five different sailors, and each of them navigates in their own direction? This situation occurs in hundreds of companies which refer to subjective opinions, and not facts. Image

So, how to discover the objective reality and work on real problems of the company? How to locate a bottleneck of the organization? According to Theory of Constraints, the bottleneck can be also located outside the production area. How to do it fast and harmlessly?
